RECAP: The renovation is well underway. The structural building work is complete and the new flooring as selected with Interiors Made Easy, has been installed.
THE BEFORE
The old kitchen was a separate room with a slate tile floor, dark tile benchtop/ splashback and timber underbench cupboards. What would now be the pantry, had been a separate laundry that at one stage stabled the family horse. Danielle decided to retain the window frame as chewed extensively by the horse as part of its dental hygiene regimen!
NEW KITCHEN
The kitchen is part of the new large open living space and is starting to take shape as the new cabinets are installed.
Danielle chose her benchtop, cabinet doors and splashback from Laminex’s wide range of products on Interiors Made Easy.
The Benchtop is the Calcite colour option from the Essastone range. Essastone is an elegant surface manufactured from natural quartz with a stone like appearance and feel, that is highly resistant to stains and scratches.
The Cabinets are in Polar White with a satin finish from the Laminex Colour Tech range. As explained on Interiors Made Easy, Colour Tech is available in a range of designer colours, finishes and profiles. Colour Tech is hard-wearing, easy to clean with a high level of moisture resistance.
To finish the kitchen, Danielle chose soft closing cupboards and drawers with no handles.
Danielle has achieved the fresh, bright kitchen she was after!
NEW LAUNDRY
For the new laundry Danielle chose the same benchtop and cupboard materials and colours as used in the kitchen. To add some interest, the overhead shelves are in Laminex’s Sublime Teak Laminate and the splashback is Beaumont’s Carrara Rhomboid Mosaic tile.
Danielle had provided the Interiors Made Easy selections report to the builder at the start of the project. The emailed report showing all the product details by room, eliminates confusion and stress.
Normally it’s back and forwards to get decisions and find out what’s going where. Having all the products spec’d out by room upfront made life easy and we could just get on with it.’ Marc, Builder.
