RECAP: Danielle and family purchased a 1960s home in Melbourne’s outer south that was in need of extensive updating and renovation. They have re-designed and modernised the home on a tight budget with the help of Interiors Made Easy.
OPEN PLAN REVEAL
The new open plan living area includes a lounge area, dining space and a fresh, modern kitchen with the old laundry now a pantry. A warm European oak floorboard from Carpet Call has been used throughout. A small utilities room has become a sunny playroom, carpeted in luxurious mid grey plush pile also from Carpet Call.
KITCHEN REVEAL
The kitchen is part of the new large open living space with the warm European oak floorboard throughout. Danielle chose her benchtop, splashback, cabinet colour and door profile from Laminex’s wide range of products on Interiors Made Easy.
LAUNDRY REVEAL
The compact new laundry is accessed from the entranceway. For the benchtop and cabinets, Danielle used the same materials as selected for the Kitchen. To add some interest, the overbench shelves are in a light timber and the splashback is Beaumont’s Carrara Rhomboid Mosaic tile.
BATHROOM REVEAL
Danielle chose the same tile combination from Beaumonts in the ensuite, bathroom and powder room. The elegant Eclipse Night in a large 300x600mm is on the floors, with Vast White in a satin finish for the walls. This fresh white tile contrasts beautifully with the charcoal grey floor tile making the bathrooms feel bright and roomy.
Timberline wall mounted vanity cabinets with vessel basins were chosen for both bathrooms. To complete the look, Danielle chose the Vivid Slimline tapware collection from Beaumonts. With pencil thin levers and a rounded appearance in matte black, this tapware range adds style and flair. As recommended by Interiors Made Easy, Danielle used the Vivid Slimline tapware throughout the house.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Thanks to good planning and the help of Interiors Made Easy, the renovation all went smoothly. On a limited budget, the couple now have a bright, fresh, modern home. Danielle and family are very happy with the result.
