Kethy Australia was born in 1990 when the Swedish company Kethy Produkter appointed Greg Steele as the Australian distributor for their products. Kethy has built on a philosophy of designing, building and selecting products that satisfy our customers.

Knobs and Handles

Whether you’re looking for traditional brass handles all the way through to the latest flush or lip pulls, Kethy’s extensive range of knobs and handles has something for everyone and every purpose.

Knobs and Handles are made from several different raw materials often determined by the shape and size of the product. Each raw material has advantages and limitations, some of the most popular are:

• Aluminium is usually extruded which is ideal for longer lengths. Aluminium can be finished by anodising or electroplating
• Brass is one of the oldest metals used for knobs and handles. Brass is ideal for knobs and can be electroplated or coated in clear lacquer to allow the natural beauty of the metal
• Stainless Steel can be hollow tube or solid. Stainless Steel is ideal for longer lengths, usually hand finished to provide a natural look
• Timber is popular for its warmth and natural appearance. Timber is mainly used for smaller knobs and handles
• Zinc (Zamac) alloy is an ideal material for die casting to produce intricate shapes for cupboard door handles. Zinc alloy can be finished in many ways to provide a large range of finishes.

Knob and handle styles include hampton, shaker, curved handles, straight handles, square knobs, round knobs, flush pulls, lip pulls, block pulls and pull cups.

Colours range from rustic brass, antique pewter, copper, matt nickel, matt black, polished chrome, satin chrome, rustic copper, light or dark timber to timber with colour inserts or metal rings. Plus, so that you can carry a look throughout your home, many handles come in multiple sizes to suit your different furniture.
